I have a large family, and always add on guests, everyone had a wonderful time, children never even asked, “what is there to do” from toddlers to tweens, all were busy. My favorite place was rocking on the front porch and talking to the passerbys. also experiencing the tent city and of course the wonderful 4th of July parade. My friends and I all stayed here for a reunion – it slept 25 of us very comfortably with everyone having their own room or sharing a very large room. What a wonderful weekend for a girls escape and to celebrate the Bride to be!! After we had such a relaxing, chill weekend, we already looking forward to the next year. The individuals rooms were cozy and quite. The porch is perfect for people watching and cocktails. Asbury is walking distance and the taste of Ocean Grove is right around the corner. There was no need to drive anywhere. Central Ave House is a great place for friends, new and old, to gather and be together and in the moment to celebrate life.– Heidi S.

We had a family reunion at Central Avenue House and everyone loved it! We had several generations from ages 4 to 69. There was plenty of room for everyone (a bed for every person) and the house was cozy and welcoming. The dining room area was ideal for everyone to eat together. The downstairs porch brought everyone together and the upstairs porch gave people a place to have some quiet. It was a great location as most of our family lives on Long Island NY. Several members came by train into Asbury Park. The younger family members visited Asbury Park, while the older members enjoyed the atmosphere of Ocean Grove. We even got to hear some performances at the Great Auditorium. It was 2 blocks from the beach, but it seemed closer. Thank you for a wonderful stay. – Mary C.

Without a doubt the most incredible place to entertain a group of fun-loving bachelor-bash beachgoers looking for welcoming porches, people, pizza and parties with pals. Our entire group of 15 each had their own comfortable room to sleep in and space to catch up on old times. We’re already making plans to make a weekend at the Central Avenue House an annual event. – Eric

Love this house! This is perfect for a large family gathering. It’s close to the beach, has two great ice cream places within a couple blocks, and has a historic home across the street, which is open for tours (and a good way to get to know the community’s history.) Each room has an air conditioner (new, very functional) but spending time on the porches in the ocean breeze is just fine too. We were all thrilled with our stay and would definitely book again. – Theresa T .

We choose The Central Avenue House to host our family for our wedding last May. It was the perfect location, size and atmosphere. With all the bedrooms, porches and living space we had so many places to hang out and socialize. The dinning area looks like a small restaurant and was perfect for our post wedding brunch. The Central Avenue House is AMAZING! I run a non-profit visual arts organization based in Washington, DC and needed to find accommodations for 12 east coast based emerging visual artists who were presenting an exhibition on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The Central Avenue House not only very comfortably accommodated all in our group with their own individual rooms, it provided meeting space for the artists to get to know each other, to collaborate on both new visual artworks and music, and to have special gatherings with area community leaders. Central Avenue House provided incredible inspiration to all of the artists and to me. I really can not share enough positive feedback about our experience with The Central Avenue House. I recommend it without any hesitation as ideal place for both large vacationing groups, as well as business or other groups to stay and both play, rest, recharge, and get inspired! – Victoria R.

Our multi-generation group ranging in age from 20 to 91 had a great time staying at Central Avenue House!  The two kitchens, two porches, large dining room and so many bedrooms on different floors were ideal for everyone’s needs. The location close to the beach and walking distance to Asbury Park with its restaurants and bars are also big pluses. Highly recommended for those who enjoy the old world charm. – Haroon S.

This house was a perfect fit for a large group of us coming to celebrate one of our girlfriends. We had friends coming from DC, NY, LA, etc.,. Asbury Park was also a lot of fun, with a ton of great food, – and of course, the beach! This house is only a few blocks away, and we could come and go as needed. This house was perfect for my son’s wedding. We had friends and family come from all over the country, and this huge and cozy house allowed us gathering and privacy all in one place. Close to beach and walking distance to everything we needed. We all loved it! – Susan R.

Ocean Grove is a favorite destination for our family but this time, we got to share it with lots of family and friends (20+ people). The house has plenty of rooms for everyone to spread out yet wonderful spaces to hang out together – mainly we used the two porches, which have very comfortable seating. We enjoyed the beach each day, walked 2 blocks to get ice cream every night and ate at the Starving Artist several mornings for breakfast. We enjoyed the Silverball pinball museum, Korean Fusion Tacos and cocktails in Asbury Park – just a short walk away. Ocean Grove is a darling place to visit, and the Central Avenue House was a perfect home base for our large group. – Julie W.

We had about 14 guys in their mid-30’s gathered for a very wholesome bachelor party. We had great weather so took full advantage of the porches and proximity to the beach. The fact that everyone had their own room was a real bonus as sometimes these large gatherings mean awkward sleeping arrangements. Would love to return again sometime in the future! – Rob W.

We had an amazing college reunion beach weekend in Jennifer’s house. It was the perfect fit for our large group of friends. It was so easy to fit everyone into the space. The double porches are ideal for drinks after a day at the beach which is super easy to get to. We all agreed to make this an annual trip 🙂 – Rachel G.

A large group of us stayed at the Central Avenue House in September this year.. It was great. We had about 20 people in our party and everyone said how perfect the amenities were. It is close to the beach, close to downtown, with a comfortable living room and kitchen, but still enough privacy with all the individual bedrooms. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity. – David G.

We rented the Central Avenue house for 3 days over Labor Day weekend for our wedding weekend and it was a fantastic choice! We could not have been more pleased. The house was perfect for the wedding party plus a number of our guests that were traveling from out of town to attend. There was plenty of space for everyone and because the house used to be run as a b&b, each room can be locked and many of them have sinks inside – perfect for a large group where some people did not know each other. There are 2 porches (1st and 2nd floors), meaning lots of room to lounge and relax. The house is so cute and comfortable and was very clean. The house is located just blocks from the beach and the center of town where there are many shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this rental for any kind of large group, like wedding, reunion, retreat, etc. Highly recommend – and enjoy your vacation! – Leigh S.

Our stay at the Central Ave House was everything we hoped for. The house has 150 years of history and the patina shows it. We had more than enough beds for the 17 people staying there. The place was very clean, accommodating, and very close to the ocean. We’ll def stay here again. – Matthew B.

Central Ave House is one-of-a-kind! Our family of 19 came in from all over the country to celebrate Mom’s 75th birthday, and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. Everyone who wanted one had they’re own bed – AND their own room, and each room had a sink & mirror. Translation: no fighting over bathroom space! The house is also just a few blocks away from the shopping “district” – which gave us a chance to grab a latte in the morning without ditching the family for too long. If you’re looking for a beach house that easily accommodates a large group, this is definitely the spot for you! – Susan R.

We had a great week. It is an easy walk to the beach, boardwalk restaurants and quaint Main Street as well as the pavilion and Tabernacle. The 2 porches are wonderful. We had a great time at the Central Avenue House. Plenty of room for 20 or so guests. It was fantastic being 2 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from shopping and restaurants. In addition, it was only about a 3/4 of a mile walk down the boardwalk to Asbury Park. We spent a lot of time on the front porch and got to meet many of the friendly neighbors. Enjoyed getting to know the town’s history and listening to several performances in the “Great auditorium” as well as touring the “Tent City.” – Haliday family
